5 Tips on Web Site Building and Web Stats

By Devin Jopp, SCORE COO

The most basic Web site services are free services. These services are easy to use, but limited in the amount of space and bandwidth. They typically also place advertisements on your site to offset their cost.

The next step up are services that charge a monthly fee. In exchange, you get a greater amount of space, bandwidth and no advertisements. All of the domain registrars like Network Solutions and Go Daddy offer Web development solutions.

The next option, building your own Web site, provides the most flexibility. You can either build your own or hire a consultant to do it for you. Once you have selected your domain registrar and hosting company (ISP), you can begin programming your new Web site. Tools like Microsoft Front Page or Macromedia Dreamweaver provide a familiar Windows front-end that automatically generates html code and allows you to click and drag items in order to create your Web site. Or, you can hire a Web design firm to do this for you.

Get bids for Web site development at www.elance.com. Simply post your requirements and wait for the bids to come in, or get estimates from firms in your city.

Analyze your Web traffic and track statistics. Google Analytics offers a free web analytic solution. StatCounter is a free package you access by logging in and copying code into your Web site. You can also buy an off-the-shelf package like Webtrends that is installed on the server and tracks critical stats like the number of visitors, highest ranked pages, etc. Many of the site builder tools mentioned earlier also provide options for tracking Web stats.

5 Tips for Taking Your Small Business Online

  1. Your product line should be able to be delivered economically and conveniently through the mail or over the Internet.
  2. The Web allows you to market to customers outside your geographical location. Your product should appeal to people nation-or-continent-wide.
  3. Compare new “technology” costs to current bricks and mortar costs, e.g.: rent, labor, inventory and printing costs.
  4. Realize that the World Wide Web levels the playing ground—you can look like a big company with a great Web site.
  5. Draw visitors to your site cheaply. Establish and grow alliances that will hotlink to your site for free.

How to Build Strategic International Relationships

by John Astor

Just learning how to shake hands in career world doesn’t make you culturally aware. A few learned copy-cat mannerisms and a couple opening lines will not put the global executive into the good graces of their regional leaders. It used to be fine, considering the small amount of time that leaders spent abroad. But more and more, as we see top-level local management strategies that have transparent relationships with each other for alignment and success, building relationships that are strong and solid are absolutely essential in today’s highly competitive marketplace.

In Japan, during the 1980’s boom years, foreigners were falling over each other to grab some of the success that Japanese businesses had created. Many managers learned a little bit of the language, how to eat soup, etc., but they missed a great opportunity to build real bonds. Unfortunately, those bonds could have also helped the Japanese businesses during the ‘90’s.

Today, we are in the midst of a series of dynamics such as, rising new economies, immediate access to customers and speed decision making, so creating and nurturing long lasting connections is a must. Maya Hu-Chan of the Global Leadership Development Center so correctly states, ‘In my work with multinational corporations, my global clients have often pointed out that building partnerships is one of the most important competencies for global leaders of the future’.

To develop powerful partnerships and prevent problematic situations, integrate these five pieces of advice.
  • Have a real interest in other cultures and learn about them through food, the arts and music, literature and the areas that give uniqueness to their place the human experience.
  • Build partnerships wherever you go with ease. You never force a friendship. You develop it. Become an open access point of assistance to your host reports, superiors and especially those horizontally. Encourage others to do the same.
  • Listen, Listen, Listen! This may be one of the great challenges for human beings, but it is an essential skill for trust. Don’t just listen with your ears, but apprehend the individual with all of your faculties. Go beyond their special behaviors and reach for what they are trying to communicate.
  • Never be patronizing. This may be very difficult for some cultures that have been taught they are the best. Be careful not to appear paternal or on a higher level than other people. Also pay close attention to how you phrase comments about their culture. This is also true for spouses of expatriates.
  • Get out of your shell. The higher you go up in an organization, the more insulated you become. Mingle with different people with different interests and you will be well prepared to meet the exciting challenges of interacting with all types of personalities from all over the world.

By putting these five points into action will give you a basis for working in all environments and with all cultures. Of course, each culture has unique aspects that give them their own perspectives on business and life, and we are all unique individuals with unique behaviors, but having a real sense of how we can make deeper connections profoundly helps us move forward together.

The Pressure of North Korea !

Author: bbc.co.uk (

Job Indonesia - Military action is out - it carries with it the risk that the North would retaliate and might even launch action of its own. - Lowongan Kerja
North Korea has a million-strong army, 18,000 artillery pieces and possibly useable nuclear weapons. -  Job Vacancy
Sanctions have limited impact on the North. It is already ignoring UN sanctions restricting trade in military equipment and luxury goods.
It manages to keep going with Chinese help and that is unlikely to be withdrawn.
It might be that the South is left to make a lot of diplomatic noise, with American echoes.
In the end it might have to accept that the lesser of two evils is to make its factual case, protest, gain international support, limit its own dealings with North Korea and then continue to build up its forces for the future.
The China dimension The sinking of the Cheonan is not the first incident along the line of the disputed maritime boundary off the west coast.

NORTH KOREAN ATTACKS

  • Jan 1967 - attacks South Korean warship near border, killing 39 sailors
  • Jan 1968 - commandos storm presidential palace in Seoul in a failed attempt to kill President Park Chung-hee
  • Jan 1968 - captures USS Pueblo - one crew member dies and 82 held hostage for 11 months
  • Dec 1969 - hijacks South Korean airliner taking dozens of passengers hostage
  • Oct 1983 - bombs hotel in Rangoon, Burma in failed attempt to kill South Korean President Chun Doo-hwan - 21 people die
  • Nov 1987 - bombs South Korean airliner, killing 115
  • Sept 1996 - sub carrying 26 troops disabled off South - some land in South sparking deadly manhunt
  • Mar 2010 - torpedoes Cheonan warship, 46 sailors killed
None has led to outright war and there is therefore reason to think that this time as well, the South will have to live with the loss, unless it wants to risk a major conflict.
The investigation's findings have thrown the issue into the lap of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who happens to be arriving in Beijing this weekend with a huge American delegation to discuss the wider relationship between the US and China.
It is possible that the US, pressed by South Korea, will favour a Security Council meeting and, if such a meeting is to have any traction, China's support will be needed.
And beyond that, if new sanctions are to be imposed, China will have to support them as well, being a veto-holding member of the Council.
Yet China usually prefers to deal with North Korea on a more discreet basis (it recently welcomed North Korea's leader Kim Jong-il to Beijing) and was slow even to express sympathy for the loss of South Korean sailors.
It only comes out against the North if Pyongyang does something with wide international ramifications, notably its nuclear testing.
Suspended talks The US might, at this moment, be more concerned to keep Chinese support for sanctions against Iran - agreed by the major Security Council powers this week - than to use its diplomatic credit up in seeking further sanctions on North Korea.

Co-head of investigation team, Yoon Duk-yong: "Both sections at the failure point were bent upward"
The prospects for settling the disputed maritime border are about as distant as the prospects for getting North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons capability. Talks about the latter are currently in suspension.
North and South Korea did nearly come to a maritime modus vivendi in 2007 in talks involving the then South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun.

The idea was to concentrate on fishing - and fishing is a major North Korean concern in the disputed waters as its fishermen seek the south-migrating blue-crab from June to September.
But it came to nothing and the North clearly remains ready and willing to defend its interests there, with the South determined to uphold its position as well.
Some international experts think that what is known as the Northern Limit Line, drawn by the UN after the Korean war, should be moved in North Korea's favour, since the old international three-mile maritime limit has made way for 12.
But given the overall state of relations between North and South, there are no realistic hopes of an agreement.
There may well be further incidents ahead.

South Korea Names New Defence Minister !

Author: bbc.co.uk

Lowongan Kerja - Earlier reports said a security aide would succeed Mr Kim, who resigned after North Korea surprised Seoul by shelling a Southern island. Tuesday's barrage killed four people and sent regional tensions soaring.
The office of South Korean President Lee Myung-bak said several candidates were undergoing rigorous checks, denying local reports of a decision. - Job Vacancy
Job Indonesia - On Friday, Pyongyang said joint US-South Korean naval exercises planned for next week would take the region "to the brink of war".
The North's state news agency, KCNA, said the exercises were "reckless" and the "trigger-happy" allies were deliberately targeting the North.
The North Korean artillery shelling - which killed two South Korean civilians and two marines - was one of the worst incidents between the two Koreas since the end of the Korean war in 1953, which concluded without a peace treaty.
'Reckless provocation' President Lee Myung-Bak accepted Mr Kim's resignation "to improve the atmosphere in the military and to handle the series of incidents," a presidential official said.
Earlier on Friday local news agencies reported that Lee Hee-Won, 61, had been named as new defence minister. Mr Lee is a former four-star general who became deputy chief of the US-South Korea Joint Forces Command in 2005.
He retired from the military in 2006 and was made a presidential security advisor in May following the sinking of the Cheonan, a South Korean warship.
In response to Tuesday's incident South Korea has increased troop numbers on the island, Yeonpyeong, and has said it is changing its rules of engagement to allow it to respond more forcefully to similar incidents. The old rules have been criticised as too passive.
Kim Tae-young (centre) inspects damage to Yeonpyeong island,
before his resignation - 25 November. Mr Kim quit after being criticised for his handling of an artillery attack by North Korea
Whoever is appointed will now have the opportunity to overhaul the country's security apparatus, says the BBC's Chris Hogg in the South Korean capital, Seoul.
The cabinet had decided that under the old rules of engagement there was too much emphasis on preventing a military incident escalating into something worse, our correspondent adds.
In future, the South would implement different levels of response depending on whether the North attacked military or civilian targets, a presidential spokesman said.
The US aircraft carrier group led by the USS George Washington is meanwhile on its way to participate in exercises with the South Korean navy - a move arranged before the incident with the North.
North Korea has warned it will "wage second and even third rounds of attacks without any hesitation if warmongers in South Korea make reckless military provocations again".

The Secret of Donald Trump Success !!!

Job Indonesia - Donald Trump was in Scotland recently, collecting an honorary doctorate from a university in Aberdeen. In the press conference afterwards, he said he was thinking about running for President in 2012. -  Job Vacancy
'Trump considers White House bid' produced more coverage than his honorary doctorate. Whether or not he runs, Trump knew the media would take the bait. They always do. - Lowongan Kerja
In 1999, he said the same thing and generated the same kind of attention. And that was just a rerun of 1987, when rumours were also flying about Trump running for President. The following year, George Bush senior was elected - without Trump on the ticket.
Through the many ups and downs of a long business career, one of Trump's key assets has been his relationship with a media that never tires of his name.
The Big Apple
Donald Trump in Central Park A man and his town: Donald Trump in Manhattan
He has had two bites at the Big Apple. In the first, he was a blonde, twenty-something tycoon from Brooklyn who developed huge, shiny buildings like Trump Tower on New York's Fifth Avenue. He and his wife Ivana became fixtures on the New York celebrity circuit.
But as the eighties drew to a close, Trump was battling for his business life, at what can now be seen as the end of the first part of his glittering career. Recession hit Trump's many projects and forced him into a spectacular near-bankruptcy. Around the same time, his marriage ended in divorce.
But Trump survived - to breathe life back into his business, and find domestic happiness again too.
The Trump franchise Today, he is a celebrity with global, rather than national, recognition. But in some ways, not much has changed.
He still lives in his Trump Tower triplex, he's still got a model wife - his third, Melania Knauss -, and he insists he's still got his own hair, whose curious architecture is now a key part of the image.
He's back at the top of his game, but this time round, it's a bigger game than in the eighties.

Trump: 'I like Alan very much'
There are 21 Trump buildings in New York, and more around the country and the world. There are 10 Trump golf courses, and another one in Scotland under construction - against some publicity-generating opposition, which he freely admits has helped raise its profile.
He has his very own beauty pageant business, Miss Universe. And he co-owns a huge global TV franchise, and stars in the original US-version of The Apprentice. (Lord Alan Sugar is Britain's version of Trump.)
Trumpeting Trump The key to Trump's business and media longevity, in both phases of his career, has been his ability to monetise his name.

Start Quote

Trump's career was never just about money... fame was the real goal.”
End Quote Ned Eichler former business partner
Putting "Trump" in large gold letters on Trump Tower may have started as an ego-trip, but it quickly turned into a smart business move. Today he estimates the brand centred on his name as being worth $3bn - about half the $6bn he says he's worth.
Others dispute the figures: the authoritative Forbes Rich List, with which he regularly disagrees, has him down for 'only' $2bn to $3bn.
Whatever the number, nobody disputes that the name Donald J. Trump, on a residential building, a hotel, or even a silk tie, gives it a value it wouldn't have if it was branded Donald J. Bloggs.
Ned Eichler, a businessman who dealt with Trump in the early days, recognised Trump's priorities right from his first project. Trump's career, recalls Eichler, was never just about money: "money was just part of the fame, but fame was the real goal."
Too big to fail
Donald Trump, Bob Hope and Ivana Trump Donald and Ivana Trump, here with Bob Hope, were part of New York High Society
Trump turned fame into money by writing an early autobiography and self-help book, The Art of the Deal, a couple of years before his financial crisis. He plugged it relentlessly, even turning up on the Wogan show with his wife Ivana. The book was a huge best-seller, adding to the name-recognition he had already created.
In his late eighties crisis, when a slew of Trump businesses were struggling to keep up interest payments on massive loans, his creditors had to decide whether to pull the plug on his empire. That they decided not to, says his biographer Gwenda Blair, was thanks to his name recognition:
"He was one of the first to get, that getting his name on things, getting his name associated with luxury, and making himself the central character, would make him the irreplaceable piece."
He was, in a phrase the recent global financial crisis has made familiar again, "too big to fail".
New caution Trump has his own account of how he scraped through that crisis, saying "it turned out that the banks liked me a lot". But he admits he 'took his eye off the ball' in the late eighties, over-expanding and believing his own hype.

Mark Burnett: 'Donald is not the kind of enemy you would want'
Who wouldn't when, as he remembers, his own father told him that "everything you touch turns to gold?"
Twenty years on, he's more cautious, saying he calculates what might go wrong before committing himself to a deal.
One sign of this new caution is what he calls the "branding deals" he negotiates with the developers of some of the latest Trump buildings.
They use his name on the building, along with his contacts and marketing expertise, and give him a share of the upside. If the project goes wrong, Trump's financial exposure is limited.
Family business At the same time, with the help of three of his children, Don Jnr, Ivanka and Eric, who now work as Trump executives, he's taken his business in new directions to exploit the brand he's created.
So alongside new luxury apartment blocks like New York's Trump World Tower, the tallest residential building in the city, there are the golf clubs and overseas resorts, such as those in Hawaii and (to come) Panama.

And there are Trump managed hotels, like the huge gold building in Las Vegas, where the Trump brand, once the preserve of the super-rich, is open to anyone who wants to stay a night in a reasonably priced room.
The familiar business journey from upmarket to profitable mass market works for Trump as well as for other brands.
At 64, Donald Trump is still firing on all cylinders. In years to come, it will be up to his children to maintain the right kind of media profile, so that the company can keep charging a premium for the name Mr Trump has worked so hard to associate with success.

Iranian Man Charged in Nigeria Over Arms Shipment !!!

Author: bbc.co.uk

Azim Aghajani appeared in court in Abuja, but did not enter a plea.
Court documents reportedly identified him as a Tehran businessman, and also a member of Iran's Revolutionary Guards.
Three Nigerians have also been charged in connection with the shipment, which included rockets and grenades hidden between building materials.
The court said Mr Aghajani had been charged with attempting to import prohibited arms into Nigeria and conspiring to send the illegal shipment to Gambia.
The Iranian said he needed his embassy to represent him before he could present his plea.
Two of the three Nigerian defendants were only charged with conspiring to re-export the shipment to Gambia.

All four men are reported to be in custody in the Nigerian capital.
"This is a matter of great national importance, and if I may add, it has international implications," said prosecutor Matthew Idakwo. "These arms were imported from Iran to our country. It is of great interest to the world."
The BBC's Fidelis Mbah in Port Harcourt, who has been following the case, says Mr Aghajani's court appearance came as a surprise.
People were not aware that Mr Aghajani was going to be charged in court, as the Iranian government had been reaching out to their Nigerian counterparts to find ways of resolving this issue, our correspondent says.
The arms were discovered at Apapa seaport in Lagos in October. They were hidden in 13 containers shipped from Iran, which were labelled as building supplies.
Mr Aghajani is believed to be the man who was questioned inside the Iranian embassy in Nigeria several weeks ago in relation to the shipment.

There were reports that the Nigerian authorities wanted to question a second Iranian national, but that he had since left the country.
Iran has said the weapons were the subject of a "misunderstanding" that has now been cleared up.
Nigeria reported the seizure of the shipment to the UN Security Council for an apparent breach of the sanctions against Iran.
Another illegal shipment of weapons was discovered in Lagos on Wednesday, increasing fears among some Nigerians of possible violence ahead of next year's elections.

The Step By Step Carving Turkey For Housewives and Chef

Author: http://allrecipes.com

Job Indonesia - Take the mystery out of carving that bird. Follow the step carefully. - Lowongan Kerja

1. First of all, don't feel required to carve tableside. Though a common tradition in many families, it's perfectly fine to carve the turkey in the kitchen and bring the arranged platter to the table. This especially holds true if you're a novice at carving. - Job Vacancy
The Tools
Use a carving knife or a chef's knife. The longer the knife, the better it will work, as a long, smooth slicing motion will make for better slices. We used a long carving knife with oval indentations along the blade to reduce friction.
Tip: Be sure to let the turkey rest for at least 25 minutes before slicing: this helps the juices redistribute through the meat, making for a better-tasting turkey. (It also makes it easier to carve.)
2. Remove the drumsticks and thighs. Start by pulling a drumstick away from the bird and using the knife to disconnect the thigh bone from the body. Set it aside to carve later, and remove the second drumstick.
3. Remove the wings in the same fashion to fully expose the breast for carving. The wings on modern, commercial birds contain very little meat, so they're often used mainly for presentation on the platter.
4. To carve the bird, make sure it's lying on its back, breast-side up. Begin with a long horizontal cut at the base of the breast. You might be able to feel where the breast meat ends and the bone begins--cut as close to that area as you can.
5. Begin slicing the breast from the top down, working at a slight angle to cut away from the carcass. The horizontal cut at the bottom provides a convenient stopping point, making it easy to finish each cut. Transfer slices to a warmed serving platter.
6. To carve a drumstick, hold one end and slice off one side. Lay it flat on the cutting board and continue carving. Slice each side, turning the drumstick a quarter turn until you've removed all the meat.
7. Place the thigh on the cutting board and begin slicing parallel to the thigh bone. Cut into even strips.
8. Arrange the rest of the meat onto the warmed platter and serve.

  • 1 (18 pound) whole turkey, neck and giblets removed
  • 2 cups and 1 tablespoon kosher salt

  • 4-1/4 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme

This recipe's Ingredients were scaled to yield a new amount. The directions below still refer to the original recipe yield of 1 (18 pound) turkey.
  1. Rub the turkey inside and out with the kosher salt. Place the bird in a large stock pot, and cover with cold water. Place in the refrigerator, and allow the turkey to soak in the salt and water mixture 12 hours, or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Thoroughly rinse the turkey, and discard the brine mixture.

How To Stick To The Budget

Author: George Battles

Job Vacancy - Being assigned to do the grocery is nerve-wracking. It is not easy. Sure it is easy to pick up the foods you want but it is hard if you are on a budget. You will need a grocery list organizer to help you out. It will keep you informed as to what items you still have in your kitchen and your home. - Indonesia Job

Sticking to the budget is hard especially if the given budget is not as big as you expect it to be. Times like this, you need to cut back on your spending. That is why you need to have a budget. If you are unaware as to how much you'll spend, you'll end up spending too much. Stick to a limit and be sure your budget is reasonable. Try to come up with a limit that is enough to buy foods to sustain you for 2 weeks.

A good money saver tip is to cut back on your meat consumption. Meat is priced a bit higher compared to vegetables. Try to make some dishes wherein meat is not the main ingredient. You could cook something Italian with less or no meat at all. Vegetables are good alternatives for meat. There's also gluten if you want.
Sale items are good deals. If you have some coupons, you can use it and you can even have discounts. If the item is on sale, you might want to buy in bulks. Only buy in bulks if you usually use it. Buy a dozen of the sale item. Also, you might want to do the grocery when your kids are in school. If you bring your kids along in the store, they will pester you until they get the junks that they want. They'll also pick up the foods which they want to eat at home. - Lowongan Kerja

Indonesia Job - Long before the current downturn in the economy, I was a frugal person who enjoyed doing household budgeting. I used coupons, drove as little as possible to save money on gas (even when gas was inexpensive), and took my lunch to work. Even being a frugal person, I found myself buying a lot more stuff than I needed, though. When I looked around our house which is large for two people, I saw a lot of things that were simply collecting dust that we didn't use. At that moment, I realized that my husband and I could do a lot better at saving money. After this realization, we got to work using a scalpel to carve out more savings and less spending and this is what we did to save on our monthly budget. - Job Vacancy.

First, we wrote down every bill that we had for the month and asked ourselves if we really needed to spend money on this item or service. We also spent time that month writing down every small purchase that we made in a notebook to chart just how much money was being spent in small increments for items like coffee, newspapers, or lunch. We reviewed the list and found lots of items or services that we could live without.

Cable television - We decided that we didn't watch enough television to justify spending $75 per month for cable television. Instead, we use an inexpensive service that delivers videos via the mail service two or three at a time. We get our news and weather from the internet and received most of the series that we liked on CD.

Cell phone - We were paying approximately $90 for 700 minutes from a well known cell phone service provider. I found a much lower cost and better plan provider from a pay-as-you-go service that uses a network from a large, well-known provider. We now have unlimited minutes and internet access for $15 less per month. We are saving money, getting more services, and we aren't locked into a contract.

Carpooling - My husband and I worked fifteen minutes away from each other. We bit the bullet and decided that the extra 30 minutes of commute time per day was worth it to save money on gas and car maintenance. An added benefit was having someone to converse with on the trip instead of simply listening to the radio.
Eating out at restaurants - We used to eat in a restaurant where the bill averaged between $25 and $40 once or twice a week. While we enjoyed this practice, we realized that we were spending an extra $1800 per year (average $35 x 2 x 52). We limited ourselves to eating out once per month which did save a lot and reduced our waistlines as well.

Buying in bulk - Being a frugal person, I was never very good at buying in bulk because I simply didn't want to spend that much money on groceries (which is probably why we spent so much money eating out!). I realized that I was costing us money by not stocking up on sale items that we really use. I bought a membership to a wholesale club and go once a month. While I spend a lot in one shop, I also save money because I am buying things usually on sale in large quantities. I also save time because I only have to go to the conventional grocery store for items that go out of date like bread, eggs, and salad. We also now
make a concerted effort to eat all of the food that I fix which also saves money and reduces the waste from our home.

Using coupons wisely - I was the worlds worst about using a coupon to get something at a very low cost or free but that we would not use. So, I stopped doing that because I realized that I wasn't really saving money, I was just cluttering up the house.

Limited my shopping - For many years, I have been a thrift store shopper. This is a great way of buying great clothes at inexpensive prices for the entire family. It becomes a problem, though, when you buy a lot of clothes that you don't need. I found that I was going twice or three times per month to my favorite thrift store spending between $30 and $50. I realized that I while I enjoyed shopping; I really didn't NEED all of those clothes. I now limit myself to a thrift store trip once per month and my spending limit is $20. I have less clutter in my closet and we save money.

Revisit our Vacation - We used to take a pretty lavish vacation for ten days per year. We would fly somewhere, rent a car, and stay in a nice hotel (not extravagant but nice nevertheless). We would also treat ourselves to nights out and dinner plus drinks. All of that added up fast! Now, we drive to the beach that is about four hours from our home, stay in a nice but moderately priced condo, and eat in. In fact, cooking on vacation is much less expensive and I have control over how the food is cooked. We also save money by taking in all of the free things that are available (museums, parks, the beach). We still have a wonderful time but have cut the cost of our vacation by about 50 percent.

After a few months of whittling down our budget, we save about $400 per month or $3600 per year which has given us much more financial freedom and peace of mind but we haven't missed anything that we cut out. If you are struggling to save money, I would recommend using a virtual scalpel to cut your budget as well. You can cut out unneeded purchases and watch your savings account grow!

Budgets and Business Building

Author: Robert Wayne Harris

Job Vacancy - A budget is critical to building a business. Business owners will tell you that bankers and lenders need a budget. Bankers insist on it, investors want it and business partners won't back the new business owner without it. - Job Indonesia

It makes perfectly good sense since the operation of a start-up business has no track record to draw from to show performance or profit. The risks involved are enormous and the statistics for failure is high. Over 80% of all businesses fail in the first 5 years. Those statistics scare most investors away and bankers carefully examine these risks.

The mistake new business owners most often make is failing to plan for failure or slow months when little or no money is available to pay their bills. This results in financial trouble almost before they complete their first year. Depending on their chosen business venture and their start-up time, a retailer for example will rely heavily on Christmas and other celebratory times of the year to move a substantial amount of inventory. When sales drop, the financial fallout can close the business down if not properly funded.

Proper budgeting and funding is relied upon in these instances to carry the business through. This is why banks and financial partners are careful in financing new businesses and especially new inexperienced business owners. The failure rate is high and no one wants to be burdened with a failed business and accompanying expenses.

Proper funding and budgeting is mandatory to the success of any business...especially when your inexperienced. Proper funding minimizes your worries and maximizes your potential for success. - Lowongan Kerja

Some Effective Tips About How To Save Money

Author: Steve Loanesco

Indonesia Job - Saving money is not just about finding a bargain and paying less for an item. This "saving" will only help you if you then set aside the money you "saved" and keep it till later. Saving money is to be able to put money away, ideally where you cannot access it easily, so that it's there to be used at a later time. - Job Vacancy

A study by economists found that income did not relate into volume of savings on retirement, and that low income earners were frequently able to have better savings on retirement than middle income earners. The study came to the conclusion that "persons with minimal savings on the eve of retirement have simply preferred to save less and spend more over their lifetimes.

Saving money is a decision; you choose to spend less than you earn and save the difference. Earning money is only half of the equation; we should find out how to control the money we earn and realize that not all money earned is for instant spending.

The first decision you must make is to save some of your earnings. To work out how much you can save, you first need to take the time to work out what your monthly bills total, how much is needed for the regular repeat costs like mortgage, utilities, insurances, vehicle costs etc. Work out a monthly cost by dividing the annual amount by twelve.

When you have a total monthly expenditure, compare it against your regular monthly earnings. If you are like the majority of people who do this exercise, you will now have to look for ways to reduce your expenditure to bring it in below your earnings. Consider things like credit cards, entertainment, eating out, fast food, vehicle expenses and clothing

Unless you take the time to explore the best ways to save money now, you will have to face the consequences of over-spending at some time down the track. Bite the bullet now and put yourself in a better financial position for the rest of your life. - Lowongan Kerja

Ways to Save Money on a Tight Budget

Author: Lyn Bell

Job Vacancy - When your budget is stretched you need to take control of your spending. Here are some ways to save money on a tight budget. Remember that the important thing is not how much you earn but how much you save and how you spend. - Indonesia Job
Going to the supermarket can be irresistible for unplanned spending. It is one of the major places to use more money than you intend. Be conscious about this fact and make yourself some simple rules.
  • Start by allocating a set sum for groceries every month in your budget.
  • Shop for groceries only once a week and do not be tempted to pop in every day. You'll invariably end up with more than the carton of milk you dropped in for.
  • Plan your shopping by taking a list of the items you need. Make a note of the usual price of the items and add these up to indicate how much you will be spending.
  • Only shop when you have eaten and not when you are hungry. If you are hungry you will end up with more food in your trolley than you need.
  • Scour the specials and cut out coupons. Make you list using the weekly special publication.
  • Take cash to cover your bill rather than placing it on the credit card.
Develop a checklist to make sure your effort to cut costs on your bills is actually working.
Power Bill
  • Electricity bills can be lowered by simple things such as switching off appliances that are not in use.
  • Check other providers to see if you can get a better rate for the use of your power.
  • Switch off lights in rooms you are not using.
  • Use energy-saving light bulbs.
  • Insulating your home may be an expense at the start but will have an ongoing benefit of decreased electricity bills and providing a warm home.
Phone Bill
  • Using the internet for online chats and sending emails helps you to stay in touch without having huge bills to talk on the phone.
  • Use Skype to call friends who are also on the internet for free. You can also pay for calls to landlines at inexpensive rates.
  • Ask your telephone provider if they have special deals that will cut the cost of calls.
Water Bill
  • Even if you don't pay for water usage this applies. Attend to any dripping tap as this is a waste of water.
You may think of many more ideas but these are some of the ways you can save money on a tight budget. - Lowongan Kerja
